For the love of the game

Our story

A simple game on a local pitch showed us how much more football could mean.

We know what it feels like to stand on the sidelines, staring at an empty pitch or a group having a kickabout, wishing for a game ourselves.

Football is meant to be simple, but getting involved wasn’t always easy. That’s why we started Football for All.

Our first game kicked off in Manchester in January 2014. It was just a few players on an astro pitch, hoping others would show up. Week by week, our group grew and little by little we began making football easy to find, simple to join and open to everyone.

Seeing players arrive as strangers and leave as friends is why we do this.

Thankfully, as more people joined, community members began stepping up to host games. Their support has helped us create more sessions across the UK. This supportive culture been at the heart of what Football for All is today. Casual, accessible and fun for everyone.

Our vision

We see a future where everyone, no matter their age, gender, skill level, ability or background has the chance to play and make friends at their local pitch, any day of the week.

Football for All uses every pound wisely to bring more physical activity to communities across the UK. Our approach focuses on creating more opportunities to play at more locations nationwide, investing in volunteers, equipment and programmes so that more people can enjoy well-organised football at their local pitch. Our goal is to make every bit of funding work towards more access to the game.
