Football for fun and everyone
Bringing people together through football since 2013
Social Football for All programme
Football has the power to connect people. We’ve seen this ourselves and wanted to share our love for the game and all its health benefits with as many people as possible. That’s why we started the Social Football for All programme to create spaces across the UK where individuals from different backgrounds, generations and experiences can come together, share the pitch and build connections through the beautiful game. Our sessions are open, easily accessible and welcoming to all.

Why is Social Football for All programme needed?
Creating system change ⚙️
Football shouldn’t be limited to 90 minute games that are selective and competitive.
Social Football for All offers a genuine alternative. Casual, flexible 1hr sessions that prioritise participation, community connection and inclusivity. Our programme challenges the traditional structure of the affiliated game, reduces inequality and shifts the football culture by making football accessible to everyone, regardless of background, ability or experience.

Improving Health and Wellbeing 💪
Our flexible sessions encourage regular physical activity.
The programme helps over 3.5k people on average stay truly active every month. We have evidence of supporting both mental and physical wellbeing through our collaboration with the NHS. By providing low-pressure, enjoyable football experiences, we make healthy living achievable for everyone.
Championing local leadership 🙌
We train our volunteers, including young people, to run sessions and create welcoming spaces for everyone involved.
By developing local group leaders, we have created a sustainable project that reflects community needs and ensures long-term impact, ownership and pride.

Traditional barriers to participation
- Inequality and lack of diversity (Sport England)
- The cost of joining teams, buying equipment and travelling long distances can prevent people from playing football, especially low-income families (Local Government Association)
- Busy schedules with work, school or family duties can make it hard to find time for football (The Football Association)
- The struggle of organising football games, hiring a pitch and finding players every week (Local Government Association)
- Lack of confidence and not knowing where to start (Sport England)
Football for All games are:
Affordable – 80% of our sessions are £6 or less and are run on local 3G/4G astro pitches
Well-organised – we take care of all the admin so people can enjoy the game
Inclusive – we welcome and encourage everyone to play football
Convenient – we organise easy-to-join games every day at different times
Eco friendly – local 3G pitches keep travel short and carbon footprints low
Social Football for All programme Goals
• Games every day in the UK’s lowest physical activity regions
• Presence in Wales and Northern Ireland to add to existing sessions across England and Scotland
• Expand the programme to youth and walking football
