Football for All Equality Policy
Purpose of the Policy
The aim of this policy is to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect, and that Football for All is equally accessible to all participants.
Responsibility and Values
Football for All is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the organisation at every level. Football belongs to everyone and should be enjoyed by anyone who wants to participate.
Commitment to Equality
Football for All is committed to confronting and eliminating discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability and to encouraging equal opportunities for all.
Non-Discrimination
In all its activities, Football for All will not discriminate, or treat anyone less favourably, on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability, or disability. This means Football for All will treat everyone fairly and respectfully and that will provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to participate in and enjoy its activities.
Harassment and Bullying
Football for All will not tolerate harassment, bullying, abuse, or victimisation of any individual. This includes sexual or racially based harassment or any other discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal, which is considered discrimination for the purpose of this policy.
Appropriate Action
Football for All will work to ensure that any discriminatory behaviour is met with appropriate action, regardless of where it occurs.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to ongoing training and awareness-raising activities to promote the eradication of discrimination within Football for All and the broader football community, including initiatives such as our regional host days organised for volunteers across the country.
Equal Treatment of All Members
Football for All is committed to the equal treatment of all members and requires all members to adhere to this policy and to the relevant equalities legislation, including the Race Relations Act 1976, Sex Discrimination Act 1975, Disability Discrimination Act 1995, and any amendments to these acts.
Investigation of Discrimination Claims
Football for All commits to the immediate investigation of any claims of discrimination, when brought to our attention. If such claims are substantiated, we will ensure that the discriminatory practice stops and appropriate sanctions are imposed.
